- 50 ml of Tequila - whichever brand you enjoy
- 20 ml of Triple sec or orange liqueur such as Cointreau
- 20 ml of Agave syrup
- 20 ml of freshly squeezed lime juice
- Ice - loads and loads of ice - crushed works best
- Kosher salt for the glass rim
- Lime wedges x 2 - optional for garnishing
Mixing instructions for Margarita cocktail with Kosher salt rim
Sprinkle the salt onto a small plate
Rub one of the lime wedges around the rim of the glass
Press the glass gently into the salt to ensure an even coating around the whole of the rim
In a cocktail shaker combine the ice, tequila, triple sec
Secure and shake vigorously for 20 seconds
Place fresh ice into your selected glass
Using the strainer pour the mix into the glass taking care not to pour over the salt rim
Garnish with the remaining lime wedge and serve
